It seems like everyone else in the world has been getting awesome waves lately and I just can't seem to find myself in the right place at the right time. Finally, this morning the stars aligned and I found myself floating around amongst some very decent barrels. There were some beatings being dished out and also some gems.
The water is like a bath at the moment. It's nice to be out there with no rubber. There were fun waves this morning as well. It's been a bit hit and miss at Lighthouse this week, but if you score the right tide there's some great rides on offer.
There were fun little waves running through Breakwall this morning. The sky was a bit grey and there was quite a sweep, but the water is so nice at the moment I couldn't say no to a swim. I ran into Bails on the headland and it took about 2 seconds to talk him into starting work late.
I've had a bit of a lousy week and I've struggled to get enthused to take photos. I snapped out of it last night and dragged the camera out to shoot some fun looking waves at Breakwall. The waves look good today and the water is super warm, so if you can turn off your computer, throw on some boardies and go surfing.
There were some great waves at Lighthouse Beach over the weekend. No epic barrel rides, just good fun running waves with a bit of push. Along with the bump in swell came quite a sweep and I spent a couple of hours Saturday afternoon swimming with the camera like a Salmon heading upstream.
