Lighthouse was the place to be again this morning. There were some great little waves around.
I went out in a tee and boardies and it was perfect. The water is so clean and warm at the moment.
If you slept in, here's what you missed.

I think Mitchy watched The Karate Kid last night.

Some Relief.

Some Relief.

If the recent run of tiny waves has been driving you crazy, there's a bit of relief around today.
The swell has bumped up a little overnight and though there wasn't much happening in town, there were some fun looking waves coming through at Lighthouse.
There seemed to be some big waits between sets, but I suspect it is going to get better as the tide comes in.

Nice day for a walk.

Flat.

Flat.

It's flat out there this morning.
When I looked there was four kids fighting over the occasional knee high wave breaking on the shore.

Yesterday morning was much the same though and as you can see from some shots I took late in the day there were some fun little waves if you are a kid or ride a longboard, so hopefully this afternoon will provide some more of the same.

Good day to be a grom.

If Only

If Only

If only there was a bit more swell.
It's another perfect day, with perfect conditions, but the waves are tiny.
Even the guy on the SUP was struggling.
I guess it's perfect for the school holidays though, because everybody under 40kgs seemed to be having a ball.

It was shoulder high out there - for some.
Even with a paddle it was hard work.
Best seat in the house.
The groms were all over it this morning.
At least the line up wasn't hectic.

Dropped

Dropped

After a nice little run, the swell has certainly dropped over night

There's is still definitely some fun little waves on offer. Especially if you prefer the slightly larger range of boards.

Mick was out on his log, and getting more than most.
Still boardie weather.

Never know who you'll run into at the beach.

Swell Weekend

Swell Weekend

A nice little swell kicked in on Saturday afternoon, carrying through yesterday, and still pushing in this morning.
It's just the right size for Town Beach and is creating some great little barrels in towards the Breakwall.

It was a bit grey out there this morning and the crowd was mostly bodyboarders and real estate agents. As you can see from this mornings shots, there's still some great waves around.

Thanks to Greggo for the lend of the lens today.
Looks like an old school Nirvana to me. Nice.
Sneeky little inside barrel.
I believe Kingy once rode a bodyboard.

The Water's Warm.

The Water's Warm.

"The water's warm" was the popular answer the the age old question "How was it?" this morning.
There were some great little waves, but they were few and far between.
Having said that, it's another day of perfect weather, and there is a lot worse places to be than floating around in the sun with the dolphins.

Hard to complain on days like this
Perfect day for a fish.
Are you looking at me?
Not sure what these two were up to.

Perfect waves for groms.

Fading

Fading

This morning was a bit disappointing after yesterdays great waves.
Having said that it was a perfect morning, and there was still some really fun waves if you were lucky enough to score them.
It's predicted to drop a bit more tomorrow, so get out there today if you can.
Jimmy was on fire this morning.

Jimmy again.

And again.
