What Else Is New?

What Else Is New?

There is a slight bump in swell today. Wind is light from the North.
Once again we have a perfect day with small fun waves on our hands and Lighthouse Beach is the pick.
It's a bit inconsistent, but the water is still good and if you have some time up your sleeve there's a few nice ones coming through.
whoops.

Small and Clean

Small and Clean

Lighthouse was the place to be this morning, with the light North winds and a little more swell than town.
If you don't have to work today you should get on down there. The sun is shining, the water is warm, and if you are patient, there are a few fun little waves to be had.
There's even a couple of little barrels on offer. It's up to you how you try to squeeze into them.

Heavy Fog

There was a heavy fog out there this morning.
It looked like there was a couple of fun ones amongst the mist, and it's supposed to pick up a little as the tide drops after lunch.
The water is warm and the fog seemed to be starting to lift as I was leaving, so it could be a fun day of small waves.

More of the Same.

More of the Same.

It's another perfect morning with the sun shining, light offshore winds, but still no swell.
But the waters warm, and the day couldn't be better, so grab a big board or just take the dog for a swim and make the most of it before the wind kicks in.

These guys had Lighthouse to themselves this morning.

Same, but different

Same, but different.

Another perfect Autumn morning.
A light Northerly breeze made lighthouse the beach of choice again.
The waves weren't amazing, but there were some fun ones if you were on the right equipment, and the water is still pleasant around the 20 degree mark.
I wouldn't wait too long if you're planing a surf, as the wind is predicted to get stronger.
Wave of the day on a learner board.
Bam.
I promised myself I'd cut back on the sunrise shots, but today's was pretty impressive.
If it's true that the best surfer is the one having the most fun, I think this grom won the day.

Not Much Joy

Not Much Joy.
Not much joy out there for surfers early today.
With a light NW wind, Lighthouse beach was the best option.
It was small and clean, and if you were keen you'd have had plenty of little waves as there was only two guys out.
Half the surfers out this morning were Kneelo's.
Best wave I saw all morning.

Tiny

Tiny

Another perfect morning for surf today, apart from the lack of swell.

Early, it looked like it might be fun on a log, but when I returned an hour later there was nothing, and the one lonely surfer was looking pretty frustrated.

Not Much Joy

Not much joy at Town Beach this morning.
The sun was hiding behind a large, grey cloud and the waves were clean, but small and inconsistent.
Hopefully it may improve as the tide comes in.

Not quite.

It was a beautiful morning, perfect wind, but the waves weren't quite there.
The predicted bump in swell hasn't quite arrived yet.
There was the occasional decent wave, and I suspect it might start lining up as the tide comes in.
Decent one

Offshore

Perfect weather for surfing this morning.
Light offshore breeze and not a cloud in the sky.
The waves were inconsistent, but if you were patient and had some time up your sleeve, there were a few fun ones.

These guys have been hard at it for a couple of weeks now,
and have got the beach looking  pretty flash again.

Not a cloud.
