A decent swell has arrived this morning, but you'll be struggling to find a spot that is handling it. It started building yesterday afternoon and I managed to sneak a few shots at breakwall on the run-out tide. It will be interesting to see what this afternoons run-out will offer.
I decided to take a couple of days of this week so we could take our girls down to Pacific Palms before they head back to school. I managed to score a couple of gaps in the strong Nor-East wind and scored a nice little shorebreak to myself. If you don't like photos of empty waves, hit delete now. If you do like empty waves, you can see some more on our facebook page
I took a little drive this morning to meet up with our buddy Ryan for a few photos on his log. There were some fun little waves coming through, and I was glad I had made the effort.
If you know where these pics were taken, then it was actually rubbish and will be even worse tomorrow. Don't even bother checking. ;)
The swell of the last few days seems to have faded away today. With grey skies and tiny waves there wasn't much worth pointing a camera at today. The good news is, I went for a swim this morning and the water was looking really clean, so hopefully there might be something decent to shoot later in the week. I did manage to grab a few frames yesterday when the sun was doing it's job a bit better.
After what seems like an eternity, there is some decent swell around this morning. The waves aren't amazing, but at least there's some hope. If the wind stays favourable there is potential for some great waves when the tide drops. It seems like plenty of people got the memo too. Luckily there where a few peaks down the beach to spread the crowd out.
The skies were grey and the crowds were hectic at breakwall on Saturday afternoon. But the bodyboard crew were throwing themselves into some crazy barrels off the end of the wall so I swam out and shot until my eyes almost bled. This is what I saw.
