It's hard to keep a novelty secret wave a secret when it's 50m from the pub. Pelican Island was working for a large part of the weekend, with last night at sunset being the highlight. The crowd was thick, but friendly. And if you happened to catch a set to yourself they were quite fun. Seems every man and his dog was surfing the river yesterday. T Brown- Evening river pivot. Warm water and an amazing sunset topped off a fun surf. Don't usually get one of these in the line-up.
