Today the waves are perfect... if you're learning to surf or a grommet on holidays. The sun is shining and the waves are small and clean. The level of skill in today's photos are probably a bit lower than normal, but the fun being had has never been higher.
The waves were a bit on the soft side yesterday, but the weather was perfect so it seemed that a lot of people were taking the opportunity to play around with different equipment. Looks like more of the same for the rest of the week. Perfect time to get a new longboard if don't have one already ;)
After a run of ordinary weather, cold water and average waves, Port decided to show the tourists what it's really made of this morning. The sun was shining, water was warm and Lighthouse was providing some fun, clean barrels.
This is a hectic time of year when you own a surf shop. It doesn't allow for much time at the beach. Hence the lack of photos lately. (and the reason I'm sending this email from work at 8.30pm) I did manage to sneak down to Lighthouse on Saturday afternoon. It looked like rubbish but every now and then a gem came through.
After a run of average waves and weather it was nice to see the sun shining this morning. At first glance the waves looked pretty good. But after watching for a while I realised that the good waves were few and far between.
