After hearing a report of very average waves on the radio this morning I took my time and arrived not expecting much. It wasn't huge, but if you had arrived early and beat the wind there were some fun looking waves on offer and very few people to share them with. The water is still clean so I took a heap of shots under the surface. Here is a few but there will be more on our facebook page later today.
Today the water is as clear as I've seen it since I got my housing. The waves were small and clean and the sun was shining. I think I took more shots under water than above. If you like what you see there will be some more shots on our facebook page later today.
Sorry about my complaining on Friday about everywhere else getting surf but us. It's nice to know you are getting the emails and paying attention. That surf you put on this weekend was fun, and the perfect weather was a nice touch. The same again next weekend would be great, thanks.
It seems the whole East Coast has great waves today- except us.
With the forecast looking promising I headed south before sunrise this morning. There was swell and offshore winds, but nowhere seemed to be working. I ended up back in town where a I found a couple of waves rolling through Middles.
I'm sure if you have the time the points North of Port will have some good waves and it's looking promising for the weekend. Fingers crossed.
Middles was OK but not amazing.
Hud and Mitch. Surf check.
I wasn't expecting to take photos of trees today. :(
There wasn't too much happening wave wise in town on Saturday morning, so for something different I swam out at the Northern end of Flynns to check out some empty barrels I spotted rolling in past the rocks.
It wasn't long before I was joined by a couple of enthusiastic bodyboarders.
Backlit barrels off the rocks.
Triple up from behind.
