The wind was light this morning and there were a few round ones at Lighthouse. The wind had started to pick up a little by the time I swapped the board for the camera, but there were still some fun ones to be found.
The crew from Billabong hit town on Friday and took over our Horton Street Saltwater Wine store today. If you were there today I'm sure you will agree that the vibe was awesome. It's great to meet surfers that you have admired for years and to discover that they are also great humans. Parko, Occy and Ellie-Jean ventured out in the rather cold water to entertain the excited crew that turned out and made some average waves look pretty good.
After what seems like a lifetime, Lighthouse finally has some banks back. I had a spare hour on Sunday morning and dropped down to watch a couple of heats of Port Macquarie Board Riders. Looked like fun.
It was a bit of a zoo at Flaggies yesterday. There were plenty of
people hassling for position in the fairly limited take off zone. Still, if
you happened to be the person in the right place at the right time, there were
some fun waves to be had.
