It was nice to see some decent waves this morning. Lots of little Kegs. Plenty of close outs, but also the occasional gem. I stayed out shooting a little longer than I should have and have been playing catch up all day. (Hence the late email) Hoping for more of the same tomorrow.
I almost didn't go out this morning. It looked pretty average and I didn't see many decent waves. But someone on their way to their car told me it was better than it looked. I was stoked to get out there and find that there was the occasional sneaky set coming through.
There were plenty of waves today. I found myself shooting at Lighthouse. At first glance it didn't look that good, but there were definitely some nuggets for surfers in the right spot at the right time. On the way into town I noticed that there were fun looking waves at most beaches. It was no secret though, there were plenty of bodies at Towns for a weekday.
You've got to love Daylight Savings. After work yesterday I managed to sneak out and take a few photos, duck back out for a quick surf and be home in time to watch the sun set. The waves weren't epic, and the water was a little on the cool side, but the crew was friendly and the vibe was good. Hoping for a repeat this afternoon.
This is Tom Brown. When he's not cross stepping he's usually taking amazing photos. All the best photographers use his old gear. Check out his work here.
Chello describing the waves he gets when the camera isn't around.
What's that you're holding Ryan? Isn't that a log?

It is grey and cloudy out there today, but there were some fun little waves at Towns this morning. The tide was pretty high and I would guess it could be getting better as it runs out. The water is pleasant and the kids are back at school. Get out there if you can.
